MAKING IT EVEN EASIER TO MANAGE YOUR ACCOUNT
Consumer Cellular has made a few small changes that will make managing your monthly plans and tracking your usage even easier:
The “My Account” page:
Now has a more user-friendly layout
This reduces the number of steps you’ll need to follow when checking your monthly usage, and simplifies the processes for adding a new line, changing your Talk or Connect Plan, or buying a new device.
The “My Consumer Cellular” app:
Small redesign driven by user suggestions
Incorporates enhancements made to the rate plans this month (adding minutes, texts, and web data to many of the cellular plans)
In order to access these great new features and be able to use the app effectively, you will need to make sure you’ve updated to the most current version:
For Android smartphones, go to the Google App Store, search for the “My Consumer Cellular” app, and press the update button.
For iPhone, go to the App Store, search for the “My Consumer Cellular” app and then tap “updates” at the bottom of the screen.
SIMPLE WAYS TO AVOID CELLPHONE “SCAMS”
Protecting your personal information from phone scammers is a frustrating necessity of modern life. Fortunately, by staying alert and following the common sense guidelines listed below, you can stay protected and help foil purveyors of potential fraud.
Don’t answer calls from unfamiliar numbers
If you do answer: don’t volunteer information to the caller
Don’t respond to suspicious text messages
Download content only from trusted sources
Password-protect your cellphone
Only enter personal information into secure sites on your phone
Use only secure/password protected Wi-Fi networks
**The same rules apply to cellphones as anything else: if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. And if it doesn’t feel right, it probably isn’t**
