Waiting until just the right momentto buy something is one of the best things you can do to save money.
Car Parts, Tires & Service
Many auto parts stores and service centers will be running promotions and offering discounts, as April is National Car Care Month. This is the time of year to get your car ready and maintained for upcoming road trips and to take care of issues that were ignored during winter. In other words, it is a good time to get a tune-up. Look for discounts on tires as well as free car care events (which typically include free inspections).
Cookware & Kitchen Accessories
As graduation and wedding season draws near, you’ll see a lot of deep discounts on common graduation and wedding gifts. This includes cookware, kitchen tools, and small kitchen appliances (such as blenders). Look for deals up to 55% off in April.
Spas & Massages
Spa Week happens on April 11-17th this year. This event is where a number of spas and salons across the nation will offer full service treatments for only $50.
Spring Clothing / Athletic Shoes
You’re likely to see many sales on spring clothes this month. Spring apparel started hitting shelves back in February, so retailers are ready to move it out to make way for their summer apparel (items typically go on sale two months after they arrive). Be on the lookout for markdowns between 20 and 40 percent off.
As the weather gets nicer (hopefully), retailers will be pushing athletic shoes. There should be plenty of promotions and sales available.
Tax Day Deals
Many businesses offer deals, giveaways and free stuff to customers on April 15 (Tax Day). For example, look for some restaurants to offer BOGO deals and other discounts.
