My Garage Sale: A Review

My garage sale has come and gone, and although it could have been better, I believe it can be called a success.

By the Numbers

  • 1 sunburn
  • 1 person asked to use my bathroom (declined, of course)
  • 2 early birds
  • 215 dollars in sales

What I Learned

  • I forgot how much work hosting garage sales are (this was my 2nd).
  • Things will sell that you think have no chance. Put everything out that you have no use for.
  • Most of the action will be at the start of the sale. Traffic will progressively decline as the day goes on.

Things I’d Do Differently

If I could do it all over again, I’d definitely spend more time preparing. I felt a bit unorganized and unprepared.  Much was done at the last minute, such as pricing items. The more organized you are, the better the outcome will be.
